My approach

I use an existential approach which assists clients with understanding the limits and benefits of being human. Existential Therapy focuses on finding purpose and meaning as well as learning how to accept responsibility, cope with emotions and understand the mysteries of the human condition. I mesh Existential Therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focuses on challenging and changing irrational or distorted thoughts about life events. Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) is an approach that empowers clients to own their abilities in solving life's problems. SFT allows for a goal-oriented focus to problem-solving.
